Welcome!
October 24, 2007
Yes, the rumors are true: the GSO has entered the 21st century, and we’re now proud members of the blogosphere. Welcome, everyone. We hope everyone will enjoy this new opportunity to interact with, learn more about, comment on and otherwise discuss YOUR Greenville Symphony Orchestra. If you become a regular reader, you’ll get to hear from all kinds of people involved with the GSO: musicians and staff alike. Maybe even the occasional audience member. There are many possibilities, which we’re pretty excited about.
Here’s a couple of ground rules before we get started:
1) No Profanity. Ever.
2) Be nice. We’re going to let anyone and everyone leave comments, and you don’t have to always gush about how wonderful we are (we’d like that, though). Be respectful (this is an all ages forum), use good judgment, and understand that we read and moderate ALL of your comments. Which means if we find you really, really, offensive, you won’t get published.
With that said, let the fun begin! And check out Rachel Barton Pine’s video from a previous entry. And come to Oktoberfest. And the Chorale Concert. And finally, for our youngest Symphony fans, come have a howling good time with us this coming Tuesday–see if you can’t find out why Miss Nelson is Missing with the GSO String Quintet at the South Carolina Children’s Theater.
